Module Content

1. Tag System

Green: safe for use. Yellow: use with specific restrictions on the tag. Red: do not use. No tag = do not use. Tag shows scaffolder, inspector, inspection date, next inspection date, permitted load.

2. Third-Party Certification

Trakhees CSR Section 9 requires third-party certification for scaffolds above 10 m, cantilever scaffolds, hanging scaffolds and any bespoke design. Certification renewed after any major modification.

3. Falsework

Formwork supporting concrete during pour and cure must be designed by a competent engineer, checked by a temporary works coordinator, and permit-controlled during strike.

4. Staircase Towers

Provide the primary safe access to scaffolds. Handrails both sides, non-slip treads, gate at each landing, lighting at night.

5. Mobile Scaffolds

Wheels locked before climb, no persons on tower during movement, platform-to-base ratio no greater than 3:1 outdoors, 3.5:1 indoors, guardrails on all sides at working height.

6. Defects

Missing braces, ties, boards, or damaged components = red tag + immediate report. No 'temporary borrowing' of scaffold components. Return of borrowed components tracked.
