Module Content

1. Fire Triangle

Fuel + Oxygen + Heat = Fire. Remove any one to extinguish. Add ignition sources control to prevent.

2. Hot Work PTW

Required for welding, grinding, cutting, brazing and open flame. Combustibles removed within 11 m or protected with fire blankets. Fire watch during and 60 minutes after.

3. Extinguisher Types

Water (Class A — solids), Foam (A + B), CO₂ (B + electrical), Dry Powder (A/B/C), Wet Chemical (F — cooking oils). Wrong extinguisher makes the fire worse.

4. P.A.S.S.

Pull the pin, Aim at the base, Squeeze the handle, Sweep side to side. Only fight small fires (bin size). If in doubt, evacuate and call 997.

5. Alarms

Manual call points every 30 m on escape routes. Alarm system tested weekly. Sound continuous alarm = evacuate now. Silent zones prohibited.

6. Evacuation

Leave via nearest safe exit, do not stop for belongings, do not use lifts, muster at assembly point, headcount by floor warden, do not re-enter until incident commander declares all clear.
