Frequently asked questions

What is the UAE midday break rule?

MOHRE Decree 401 prohibits outdoor work between 12:30 and 15:00 from 15 June to 15 September each year. Site Safety UAE tightens this further using WBGT thresholds when local conditions demand it.

How is the WBGT threshold determined?

The planner uses monthly WBGT bands for each emirate based on the UAE National Center of Meteorology climate records, mapped to ADOSH-SF and Dubai Municipality guidance for acclimatised outdoor workers.

Can I print the schedule for the site notice board?

Yes. Every planner output has a Print button that produces a one-page notice with hydration reminders and Arabic subtitles.

Does the break rule apply to indoor air-conditioned work?

No. Fully enclosed air-conditioned indoor work is exempt from the midday break window but may still trigger heat-stress precautions if temperature or humidity exceeds thresholds.
